Americans Want a Public Option
After all of the staged protests at televised town hall meetings and all of the lies propagated in an effort to defeat a public option, 60 percent of Americans still want a public option according to the latest CBS poll on the subject, conducted August 27-31. Only 34 percent are against a public option.

For those senators who oppose a public option and the concept of covering Americans who cannot afford prevailing premiums, perhaps THEY should have THEIR medical insurance temporarily cancelled to see how THEIR lives are affected by the absence of medical insurance. My guess is that they wouldn't be willing to try that even for a day.
